Electrical panel upgrades — 100A to 200A service

If you're adding an EV charger, a heat pump, a hot tub, or just running out of breaker slots, a panel upgrade is often the right move. 100A to 200A service upgrade includes the new panel, meter base if needed, permits, and utility coordination — quoted in writing before any work begins. Older Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels (known fire hazards) should be replaced regardless.

EV charger installation — every brand, every vehicle

Tesla Wall Connector, Ford Charge Station Pro, ChargePoint Home Flex, JuiceBox, Wallbox, OEM units that came with your vehicle — we install them all. We do a free load calculation to confirm your panel has capacity (or quote the upgrade if it doesn't), pull the permit, run a dedicated 40-50 amp circuit, and verify pairing with your vehicle before we leave.

Our process

How an electrical job works at Naugle

Free assessment, written quote, permits pulled, work done by licensed electricians, inspected the first time.

  1. 1

    Free in-home assessment

A licensed electrician walks your home, opens the panel, checks load, looks at your existing service, and identifies anything that needs to be addressed for the work you're scoping.

  2. 2

    Written, flat-rate quote

Itemized: equipment, labor, permits, utility coordination. You see the all-in price before we start.

  3. 3

Schedule the work and pull the permit

We pull the permit and coordinate the DTE/Consumers disconnect/reconnect if your job needs one.

  4. 4

Install day — clean, safe, complete

Drop cloths, shoe covers, organized work. We label every new circuit at the panel, and don't leave until everything's tested and working.

  5. 5

    Inspection and final walkthrough

We coordinate the inspection and walk you through the new equipment before handing off the permit paperwork.

How we work — written down so you can hold us to it.

  • Written, flat-rate pricing

You see the all-in price before any work begins. No time-and-materials surprises, no overtime gotchas, no "we'll see when we get into it."

About load calculations and EV chargers

Homes with 100-amp service often don't have enough headroom for a 40-50 amp EV charger circuit on top of existing AC, electric range, electric dryer, and water heater. Adding the charger without doing the math first is how breakers start tripping or — worse — a hidden code issue gets created. We do a proper load calculation as part of every EV charger estimate, and tell you honestly whether you can add to your existing panel or need to upgrade. About half the homes we look at need the upgrade; half don't. We won't sell you one if you don't.

FAQ

Electric questions, answered

Often, yes. Homes with 100-amp service typically don't have enough headroom to add a 40-50 amp EV charger circuit or a heat pump without tripping the main. We'll do a free load calculation as part of the estimate and tell you whether you can add the new load to your existing panel or need a 200-amp upgrade. Honest answer either way.

Pay over time, not all at once

0% APR financing on qualifying installations

A new HVAC system, generator, panel upgrade, or whole-home repipe shouldn't strain the family budget. We offer 0% APR financing on qualifying installs (typically 12-24 months), plus longer-term loans for larger projects. Most homeowners get approved in minutes during the in-home estimate.

  • Soft credit check (no impact on your score)
  • Decision in minutes, not days
  • Monthly payment shown alongside cash price
  • No prepayment penalties

How financing fits with your install

  • Same equipment options. Financing doesn't change what we install or how — only how you pay for it.
  • Multiple plan lengths. Short-term 0% APR promos through longer-term loans, so the payment fits the household budget.
  • Decision at the estimate. We bring the lender right to your kitchen table. Approval is typically a few minutes.
  • Stack with rebates. Financing works alongside any utility rebate or federal tax credit you qualify for — we file the paperwork.

Financing through third-party lenders. Terms and approval depend on credit qualification, loan product, and equipment.
