It's case by case, but age matters. Around 15 years old is early for major repairs. After 20 years, we recommend replacement over repair. After 25 years, we recommend replacing rather than repairing — and we can't warranty repairs on a furnace that old.

Our Standard Service Agreement for forced-air systems is $165 and includes a fall and a spring service visit, priority scheduling, no after-hours charge for emergency service, and 10% off all HVAC repairs.
